Carved and painted dolphin, signed: 'C. Voorhees' and bearing Voorhees mark, American, circa 1955. The dolphin carving has excellent detail. The dolphin's mouth is painted red and the upper body black with a speckled surface. The under body is white with a brown wash. The dolphin has a glass eye. (FA-1011)
Note: Most of the Voorhees whales were made for the Nantucket market in the 1950's.
Condition: Chip repair to upper fluke.
