Blue and white small painted sailor whirligig, American, circa 1920. The sailor has a painted face. He is wearing a blue painted jacket with white painted bell bottom pants. He is wearing a round blue and white sailor's hat and black boots. His arms are out straight and he is holding a paddle at both ends.. The whirligig is mounted on a modern rectangular black painted base with metal shaft. The item was found on Cape Cod with a collection of five similar whirligigs. (FA1052)
Condition: The carving has a mellow age patina which is original and unrestored. The paddles have been repalced.
