Hand painted Littco Products cast iron sailor doorstop, American, circa 1920. This is a rare form of doorstop and has excellent hand painted decoration. The sailor’s hat is blue and red, he has a red and white striped shirt a wide collar over shirt and blue bell bottom pants. The figure is holding his hands on his hips and in his left hand he is holding a line. He is standing on a half circle shaped base which has a white and black painted barrel and on the top of the black base is light and middle blue scalloped decoration by the sailor's right foot. Condition: There are a few minor scattered paint losses around the figure and base, and there is a nice crackle finish to the paint.
