Crystal lalique hood ornament, signed on the base in script: "Lalique France" circa 1928. The head is beautifully formed, is long and proud and has excellent detail in the eye, nostril and beak. The feathers are well articulated and the eagle has a round base. The finish has a very interesting combination of clear and frosted glass. (MI-516)
Note: The lalique hood ornaments were descibed as mascot designs in which twenty-nine (29) varieties were produced. The eagle was introduced March 14, 1928 and was number 1138 in the catalogue.
