Exceptional pair of brass candlesticks, Flemish, circa 1740.  The candlesticks have bulbous turnings separated at the center with a mid-drip pan on a raised dome base.  The top of the sticks have square shaped iron spikes. (MI-435) 
Provenance:  These candlesticks were deaccessioned from the collection at Colonial Williamsburg.  The following hand painted white identification numbers appear on the bottom of the bases: "G1991-288.1" and "G1991-288.2".  
Condition:  With the exception of a few minor dings, the candlesticks are in excellent condition.
