Pair of painted cast iron doorstops, American, circa 1920, made by The Albany Foundry Van Rensselaer Island New York 1897-1932.  The doorstops depict square-rigged ships riding high in a heavy sea.  The ships have painted white sails with black hulls.  The seas have wonderful paint with shades of blue with white highlights at the crest of the waves.  (FA-1006)
Condition:  The paint has a wonderful age patina and is in excellent condition.
