Rare brass 8 day ship's clock with double fusee time and strike movement, attributed to J.C. Jennens & Sons, London. The clock has a silver dial with engraved wax filled Roman numerals. Below the numeral XII is a recessed subsidiary second dial. Flanking the center of the hands are two winding posts: one for time and the other for strike. Both sides of the case have fancy designed cut outs which allow the sound to eminate outside the clock. The left side has a key hole that allows the brass bezel to be locked. At XII, III and IX there are three  brass mounting brackets. The clock retains its original winding and bezel keys.
Condition: The clock is in fine condition except for a small dent on the back plate of the clock which is not visible. The time and striking are working accurately. (CL-545)
