Late 19th century scrimshaw coat rack. The coat rack has a rectangular pan bone back with two screw holes for wall mounting. There are three small whales’ teeth mounted to the back with metal fasteners. (SC-1108)
Condition: The coat rack is in good condition and has a mellow age patina. The metal fasteners are highly oxidized and the stain has bled into the adjacent whalebone back.
