This heavy-duty folding knife has a steel frame with brass bolsters. the front bolster is thick brass has has a decorative curve and is fastened with 2 brass pins.The rear bolster has a straight angle in the front and is fastened with 3 brass pins. The whale bone grips are rounded and are fastened with 3 pairs of brass pins. The blade has a clip point shape with a thumb nail recessed grove for opening. (KN0049)
Note: This one of the largest and finest sailor kines we have examines and is quite a rare and fine example.
Condition: The knife is in generally excellent condition. It has an untouched surface and mellow patina. The is some scratching on the blade from use and sharpening. There is some normal minor age cracking to the bone grips and the brass pins have oxidized resulting in some green color around some of the pins witch is a normal proof of age.
