Round Nantucket Lightship, Basket with Hart aped Handles, American circa 1890

InformationFine Nantucket Lightship basket with a round shape and carved mahogany hart shaped handles. The basket has a mahogany rim and base. The basket has oak ribs and rattan weavers. The inside of the base has a finely detailed turning with 2 deep and wide carved concentric circles and 6 thin concentric circles which are scribed. (FA1247) Dimensions: Height to top of hart handle 4, Diameter 9 1/4 Inches Condition; The basket is in excellent condition and has deep warm patina. There one small loss in the rattan weave.
