H.E. BOUCHER MFG. CO. FINE SCALE MODEL OF A MERCHANT BRIG
Hull built up from the solid hull and planked and pinned with a bright finished bottom and painted black topsides and rudder. The deck is also planked and pinned in the same manor as the hull. The cap rail finished bright as are the planked decks. Detailed with bowsprit bracing posts, anchors, pin and fife rails, companionway, ship's boat on cradles, deck gratings, pump, deck house, tiller, etc. Rigged as a brig with a bowsprit, two masts, stun'sail booms, standing and running rigging, hoisting lines and more. Displayed within a glazed case on a pair of turned brass pedestals on the traditional Boucher gray sand base. The model retains it's glass case which has beveled glass on the top.. The bottom of the glass has wood trim that that screws into the case wood base from the underside. (SM701)

Condition: Overall excellent condition. Some of the running rigging has been replaced.
