Pair of polychrome whale’s teeth depicting British yachts circa 1860. Both teeth show a profile view a what appears to be a gaff rigged sloop yacht in fine detail. One tooth shows the port view and the other the starboard view so that when the teeth are viewed together there are a pair of facing yacht images. The yachts are engraved with black ink the water has blue ink and the leafy boarders engraved around the vessel is green. The teeth are mouted in old and possibly original turned ebonized bases.  Both vessels flying colored flags and pennants and are surrounded by green laurel leaf garlands. 
Dimensions: Height of teeth 4 1/4,  Mounted on wooden bases. Overall heights 5 3/4" and 6”"
