Information

Massive China Trade camphor wood chest, made for the American or European market, circa 1860.  Each surface of the chest is made from a single board. There are double bail handles to lift the top with locking escutcheons.  The chest has brass corners and side bandings.  The sides retain the original heavy side mounted bail carrying handles. (F-511) 

 

Condition:  The chest has a fine surface.  There are a few minor dings and a few typical large cracks.
