Large Narwhal Cane with Massive Silver Repousse Grip, Probably English, Circa 1870
InformationFabulous Narwhal Cane with silver grip. The cane has a massive silver grip with a capstan ship grip. The top and sides of the bulbous grip is finely engraved. The bottom of this grip has a silver collar with a fine raised oval pattern around the grip. At the base of the collar are clear visible silver hallmarks. The shaft is much longer and thicker than most narwhal canes and this tusk is a wonderful specimen. The bottom of the cane has a long 3-inch ferrule with a steel tip which was a ferrule shape often found in late 18th century pique style canes. (SC1348)
