InformationNantucket open basket by Michal Kane with etched signature on the bottom "Made by Michael Kane 1986, Nantucket" The basket has rounded curved sides with swing oak handle. The basket is beautifully woven with Michael Kane's signature micro-wave method. He used oak ribs and cane weavers and the oval wood base is walnut. The basket has brass ears with ivory washers. Set into the center of the base is a penney with the date the basket was made 1986 (FA1234)
