Victorian Carved Wood and Brass Maritime Stick Barometer signed
Henry Frodsham, Liverpool, mid-19th century.
Having an urn-form finial on an egg-and-dart cap at top, the round upper
section of the trunk having a pair of scales with labels for "10 A.M.
Yesterday" and "10 A.M. To Day" and a pair of corresponding recording
knobs, and the central section of the trunk having a flat silvered face with
a semicircular rope twist carving on the back of the case, the silvered face
with adjustable dial, thermometer, and barometer labeled "Improved
Sympiesometer", all over a brass cistern, and with brass gimble for
mounting, signed on scales at top.
