Whaler-made Whale Bone Swing Handle Basket, mid-19th Century. The basket has fine large finger joints and is pinned around the perimeter to the island wood base with small pins. The oval basket has alternating pierced heart and diamond pattern around the circumference. There are four diamonds and four hearts with diamond and heart cutouts. The basket has a finely shaped whale bone swing handle. (SC 1319)
