Fine Nantucket Friendhip Purse With Ivory Top and carved Ivory Whale signed and dated on the bottom 1969

InformationFine eight inch Nantucket Lightship Basket, signed and dated on the bottom of the base “Hose Formosa Reyes 1969” and includes a map of Nantucket. The basket has an ivory top, knobs fid with ivory reciever. Mounted to the top of the basket is a carved ivory sperm whale. The inside of the ivory top has the engraved name Ellen Curtiss Kolodmey and is dated 1969. (FA1227) Condition: The basket is in excellent condition and has a warm deep patina. All of the whale ivory parts are also original and in excellent condition with a warm mellow patina. Dimensions: Height 6 inches, Length 8 3/4 inches.
